Premiere League: Arsenal signs Real Madrid's Mesut Ozil on transfer deadline day

Arsenal has left it to the final day of the transfer window to take action, signing Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil for a reported fee of $73.4 million.
The Gunners - and manager Arsene Wenger - have been criticised for their lack of action in the transfer market, particularly as a string of injuries gave the team selection headaches.
But as the transfer window slammed shut at 8:00am on Tuesday morning (AEST), Arsenal at last had their man.
In a statement Wenger said the club was "extremely pleased" to sign Ozil.
"He is a great player, with proven quality at both club and international level," he said.
"We have watched and admired him for some time as he has all the attributes I look for in an Arsenal player.
"Mesut is a top quality footballer who will be a fantastic addition to our talented squad."
Ozil acknowledged the move on his Facebook page:
"Dear fans of Real Madrid. Thank you very much for three wonderful years with all of you.
"My time at Real Madrid was unique and special for me ... Although I'm leaving Real Madrid, I wish you and the team the very best for the future.
"Now, I'm looking forward to my new club: THE GUNNERS!"
